Chelsea's Trip to Italy
Hi All
The school prepared a six day itinerary which included Venice, Florence and Rome and all the not so major cities along the way. She had an absolute blast!

Summer Fun - Chelsea & Thomas
Hi All
Another Day in Paradise. A saying that we have all come to know and love. To say that we all love and most importantly appreciate the opportunity that we have to live on this wonderful island that is Tenerife, would be an understatement to say the least.
This year Chelsea decided to enroll in Surfing lessons. I wasn't too keen on the idea at first, being slightly afraid of the sea and all.. but not wanting to impose or transfer my fears to either of the kids, and after re-assurances that it was safe and monitored well, I agreed.
I'm glad I did, because over the course of about 5 or 6 weeks, Chelsea has learned the basics of surfing. Whilst I was on holiday I went along a few times to sit and watch her and it was well worth it.
To see the kids (Thomas joined in for the last week) enjoying the sun and surf like that was magical. A sight for sore eyes!
After all what's the point of living in Paradise if you don't make the most of your surroundings.
Enjoy the slide show and remember to hover over the images to get them to slow down..

Annual Trip to Puerto de la Cruz
Hi All
Every year we try to get away for one or two nights to Puerto de la Cruz, with our friends Cindy and David & their son Sam.
This year was no exception, and on the way back we stopped at our favourite restaurant 'The Monsatery', so named because it is an old monastery that has been converted into a restaurant (or three).
It has lots of nooks and crannies, that we love to explore and has a very authentic Canarian feel about it.
We love it and the grounds are very picturesque. Perfect for budding models and those wishing to improve their photography skills...

Chelsea's Prom Night / End of School
Hi All
Chelsea now moves on to (what is known in the UK as 6th form or A-levels) Bachirellato or College. She has chosen pure sciences as her chosen subjects. She had originally chosen economics, but after a few conversations with people about what that might actually entail, I think she thinks she might be bored stiff during the lessons, and so has opted for something that she will enjoy a little more...
The school organised a 'Prom Night' for them. I use the word loosely, as there was no music and dancing. Just an evening for handing our their diplomas, last school photo ops, followed by a buffet and drinks. Lovely.
Chelsea looked adorable and we were very proud of her.

Chelsea's Pre Trip Dinner
Hi All
Chelsea finishes school this year (at the tender age of only 15), and so the school always organise an end of year/school trip somewhere. This year, after much deliberation Italy was chosen as the destination of choice. The school do various fund raising activities leading up to the trip to try an gather in as much money for the 'out of the ordinary' expenses that may or may not be incurred whilst on said trip. One of which was the pre-trip dinner, where we were all invited to dinner served to us in the school canteen, where our waiters and waitresses for the evening would be our dear children. All went well, and Leanne (my niece) was able to join us whilst she was here on holiday. And I'm sorry Leanne, but if you have a talent, then the world MUST see it..

Mother's Day
Hi All
Crikey! Didn't realise I hadn't posted anything since December last year! Bad blogger..
In truth my life is such a whirlwind of excitement, I hardly have time to stop and write about it (and if you believe that, then you'll believe just about anything!)..
So for the latest update from Thrillsville, here we go:
Mother's Day
What is so exciting about Mother's Day I hear you ask? Nothing, but I managed to take a few photos of the kids in the garden (mostly Chelsea tho') on Mother's Day..
